FRIO FUN

After years of research, Frio Fun has just recently purchased a Helix Wind vertical access wind generator. This unique device will have the capability to produce enough power to service all of the structures on Frio Fun property. The rotors are only 6' tall and 30' in the air. Installed 12-09.

This unique carbon fiber device will enable us to cut our ties to the local electrical company and become self-sufficient. All additional surplus power will be sold back to the local utility company and those funds put back into the business. Frio Fun also is self-sufficient in other ways: we have our own water well and drilling another in November and with a property-wide septic system we are truly disconnected from the mass utility grid - and we are excited!

HERE AT FRIO FUN WE THINK IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ALL WHO VISIT COCAN AND THE FRIO RIVER...begin to take littering more seriously. Our maintenance staff works hard to collect your families trash and litter but we need your help too. We ask you to sit down and discuss with your family the need to place all trash and litter...beer cans and god forbid any bottles in the appropriate trash cans provided. Frio Fun in one season utilizes over 10,800- 33 gallon and 55 gallon heavy duty garbage bags in just 90 days. In the off season we will collect 12, 240 bags of trash. Combined that equals 23,040 bags per year and at .35 cents per bag you do the math. And, that doesn’t even include the cost of disposal! THAT IS AMAZING how much trash we collect. So pitch in and give us a hand by taking the time to put all your trash; empty containers and cigarette wrappers, butts, broken water balloons in the trash. This trash doesn’t just magically disappear everyone of us here at Frio Fun picks it up so please help us make our landscape and environment a little bit cleaner and nicer for everyone to enjoy by giving a hand. We haven’t quite determined the best method of re-cycling all of the beer cans we collect here at Frio Fun but trust us we are working on it. We collect thousand and thousands of beer cans that you leave behind - you would be amazed at the volume of cans...how can you all drink that much beer is beyond us...but hey!!!! You do, so, were racking out brains trying to figure out the best way of having you put them in the proper containers. Perhaps were thinking too much on this subject and we should grab a beer and think it through properly. :)
