Hello to everyone and here is our very first edition of the long awaited Frio Fun newsletter!
We are extremely excited to tell you about all the upcoming changes, website updates, advances, weather, river conditions, events, promotions, new homes and cabins that make up Frio Fun. Since purchased back in April of 2008, Frio Fun has completely changed its image, policies, infrastructure, website, logos, colors, branding - virtually everything that makes us who we are surrounding what we do. That is, simply stated - provide you with the very best vacation homes and service in Concan year after year.

 After years of research, Frio Fun has just recently purchased a Helix Wind vertical access wind generator. This unique device will have the capability to produce enough power to service all of the structures on Frio Fun property. The rotors are only 6' tall and 30' in the air. Installed 12-09.
This unique carbon fiber device will enable us to cut our ties to the local electrical company and become self-sufficient. All additional surplus power will be sold back to the local utility company and those funds put back into the business. Frio Fun also is self-sufficient in other ways: we have our own water well and drilling another in November and with a property-wide septic system we are truly disconnected from the mass utility grid - and we are excited! |

 For the balance of 2009 and on into 2010, Frio Fun will be producing a series of special events. Our first will be the display of Porsches from three regional car clubs in Texas.
This exceptional collection of vintage, classic and newer models will be on display at Frio Fun on October 17th, 2009. Visit our website and get fantastic deals on the off-season and event rates and come out in the best time of the year and see some of the finest cars ever made. The event will feature live music, a rally and judging. |
As you have noticed we have created a brand new website complete with an on- line reservation system that enables you to make a reservation request regarding specific homes for the dates available. Although this system was good it was simply not up the standard that we wanted to perform multiple tasks and functions to make your requests seamless.
Beginning around the middle of September of 2009 we will be introducing a brand new reservation system utilizing the very best software and security measures to make your initial search, selections, pricing, financial input and confirmations easy and electronic. All of this will be incorporated onto multiple new pages of our existing website. Take some time to get familiar with how to use this new system. It’s easy!

 Frio Fun consists of many companies - one of them, Frio Services Company - recently changed to Frio Fun Operations, LLC, was awarded on August 13th, 2009 the highly regarded 2009 Best of Concan award in dwelling Operators category evaluated by the U.S. Commerce Association.
We honestly had no idea what-so-ever we were being evaluated but truly appreciate this award. All of the staff at Frio fun work had each day of the year to make sure you and your family and their families have the very best vacation year after year. |

THE FRIO FUN PROVISION CO. is a brand new country store featuring unique gift items and things you need to make your stay more fun and enjoyable. With our “just call us and order charcoal, charcoal starter, ice, or tubes”, our friendly staff will quote you the competitive prices and deliver your items to your home or cabin before you arrive illumining the need to either bring these items or get them the next morning. Because of the consistent hot, dry weather our river was at an all time low. This however did not deter too many of the Frio Fun loyalists that still got away from the daily grind to spend their 3-day vacation here under the stars and finding some pockets of cool water to lounge away the hours. In act, we saw a sharp jump in the rentals of our homes that have pools and hot tubs so we wanted to invite you to reserve early those properties that have these highly desired water features.
