River Oaks Miniature Golf is located 1/2 mile north of SH 127 on River Road (CR 648). The course is laid out in an oak mott along Shut In Creek. It is a very good 36 hole course, well kept, with birds, deer and other wildlife nearby. The verity of plant life is worth seeing whether you can put the ball in the hole or not. A finer course will be hard to find. |

Birding has always been a major attraction in this region of the Texas Hill Country. Concan is ranked with the Rio Grande Valley and the Aransas Wildlife Area as rendezvous in Texas for International Birders.
The Black Capped Vireo, Green Kingfisher, American Kestrel, Zonetail Hawk, Summer Taniger, Merlin, Gold Cheek Warbler, Red Crossbill and many more species are attracted to our hills.
Greg Lasley has a great site dedicated to bird and other wildlife photography. Many of his photographs are taken in the Frio Canyon. Give him a look. http://www.greglasley.net/
